🌆 ACE Club Digest - ACE your resolutions with ACE Club

December meet-up info and AEC resolutions for 2025

The final ACE Club meetup of the year will take place next week Wednesday 12/11 @ 5:30pm - Printers Alley (Midtown NYC). Lets celebrate!

Know someone that may be interested in joining ACE? Bring them to the next event! We’re always happy to see new faces.

New Years Resolutions

In preparation for the New Year (can you believe 2025 is less than a month away???) we came up with some AEC-inspired new years resolutions.

Sawyer’s resolutions

Build my AEC network. I started my career in multifamily development and then transitioned into the nonprofit/public sector world of urban planning. So I’ve become very familiar with the world of developers and planners, but not so much with builders and designers. Meeting all of you has been amazing and I’m looking forward to growing the ACE Club community.

Visit more neighborhoods in NYC. I moved to NYC in 2022 but realized that I can still count the number of neighborhoods that I’ve been to outside Manhattan on both hands. By the end of next year I hope to get to know much, much more of this city. What are some hidden gems that I should check out??

Reach 500 ACE Club members. Ambitious? Yes. Crazy? I don’t think so. There are over 75,000 AEC professionals in the Tri-state area (only counting the ones on LinkedIn). Based on the conversations we’ve had will all of you since we started ACE Club in the fall, we know there’s a huge need for the community and resources we offer. I’m looking forward to welcoming many more people under the ACE Club tent.

Emma’s resolutions

Where to begin with ACE Club? Connections, conferences, industry opportunities, relationship building, industry trends, mentorship, friendship… If ACE club can bring any of these to our 500 members next year (Thank you Sawyer Resolution #3), I will be so thankful.

Spend more time on site - When I have paperwork and its freezing outside, its very easy to want to stay by my computer in the warm office. However, spending time on site and being close to the action is the best way to learn, troubleshoot field conditions, create relationships with subs, and help the project move forward. So, while paperwork is important, my goal is to spend more time on site next year.

Learn Procore. This is a technology that I don’t have any experience in, but I have learned from colleagues and fellow ACE Club meet-up attendees that it is an absolute game-changer for project managers and architects. If you have any experience with Procore and want to help a sister out, please let me know!

  • Development Team

  • Project Overview: NYCFC (New York City Football Club) is building a new 25,000-seat stadium in Mets-Willets Point. The team is privately financing the construction and the space is set to welcome matches starting in the 2027 season.

  • Why it’s interesting: The stadium is soccer-specific, which is the first of its kind in New York. It will also be fully electric.
